'Thinks' - "Roll on Mondays and Tuesdays, love seeing my mates and getting all those treats for enjoying myself"
WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE
STONEHOUSE DOG TRAINING CLUB (SDTC)
STONEHOUSE DOG TRAINING CLUB (SDTC)
Please feel free to browse around and use the links above to find out what the club is all about, and how to get in touch if you want to bring your dog to obedience classes.
SDTC is Kennel Club registered and one of the most well respected clubs in Gloucestershire.
The emphasis of SDTC is obedience training but it's not all hard work. We have fun sessions, like a fun dog show but not taken too serously, an annual BBQ and other social events through the year. In December we have the annual prize giving, everyone's a winner although some are bigger winners than others of course!
Have a look at the 'Upcoming Events' and the 'Recent/Past Events' pages for details.
SDTC is a club with an outstanding reputation in the world of dogs and frequently has entrants at Crufts. The instructors are qualified with some also being renowned judges at dog shows including Crufts.

Veterans with Dogs &The Veterans Lottery
Text of message from Shirley, which she received from Veterans with Dogs;
We recently signed up to be part of the Veterans Lottery as we receive funding from the Veterans Foundation who run this lottery. After testing it all out we have agreed to share this with everybody as the Veterans Lottery provides vital funding and support to many small charities like us.
Currently they are running a scheme whereby they donate back to VWD for every person that signs up with them. (£25)
The link below takes you to the Veterans Lottery site and is the only way of tracking people who sign up through VWD:
https://veteransfoundation.org.uk/AVWD
Only sign up if you want to, there is no pressure from us. It will cost you £10 a month and we want to be clear, upfront, and honest about this beforehand. Details of the draws are shown on the lottery site itself. Feel free to share with family and friends but it must be the link above for it to count in favour of VWD.
the charity is very grateful for all the support the club has given them over many years.

Fireworks and pets
November 2017;
Information from Chloe Frost, of Ghengis Fireworks, on how to make fireworks more tolerable to animals. We all know how distressing this time of year can be, I have a Bichon who is terrified of the noise and shakes for half an hour or more even when they are over for the evening.
We hope the info on the Ghengis Fireworks website is of some use to all pet owners, not only dogs :-)

10 Ways to Enhance Your Dogs Life

Found this on the internet, well to be honest my son found it and passed the link on. It's quite an interesting webpage and links to some treats that you can make yourself rather than buying expensive ones from the pet shop or supermarket.
